“The True-Trini-Network” website is a discussion website for all things Politics and all things Trini, but not exclusive to the politics of Trinidad and Tobago. This site will also have postings of Art, Food, Music, News and many other subjects. The primary reporting within this forum is that of both local (to Trinidad and Tobago) and that of International news from various news outlets.

This site is for persons 18 years and over.

If any user deliberately falsifies their age to be over 18 years but they are in fact under 18 years of age then we reserve the right to take appropriate action such as, but not limited to, the removal of that account.

Users of this site are free to post and make comments relating to any aspect of the topics covered in this forum. Views are simply opinions, however, if promoting a view that you believe to be factual, and if challenged to the veracity of that opinion, then evidence of that view is also expected in the interest of fair play and discussion etiquette. 

Users are encouraged to be critical, to make citations where possible of their views, and to be receptive of other users that may also have a differing opinion.


This site, The True Trini Group website or its creators have no political partisan allegiances to any one particular political party or group.

This site takes a neutral stand, allowing all users to voice their opinions, notwithstanding which political divide they favour. This means that whilst we would encourage debate and discussion, we will not tolerate disrespectful, offensive, crude or hateful commentary.


Hate Conduct:

This site will not tolerate the promotion of violence against other users, the threatening, or harassment of other users on the basis of race, ethnicity, national origin, sexual orientation, gender, gender identity, religious affiliation, age, disability or any other discriminatory conduct.  Such conduct will not be tolerated, will be removed and the poster may also be removed from the site, blocked or banned. A limited exception to this may be in the reporting of such circumstances undertaken by others and in the public domain.

Advertising of political events is encouraged, providing it relates to political issues, meetings, discussions, rallies, or political parties.  Any other advertising will be removed.  If you are unsure, please message the Administrator for prior approval.

Unwanted sexual advances:

This is not a dating site. Please do not harass other users. A “Chat” facility is utilized as well as a “Friends” facility for easier interactions of the site. Please do not abuse that facility. You will be removed from the site, blocked and banned if such abuse is pursued or reported to Admins,

Nudity or sexual content:

No postings of pornography in any form, no semi-nude, nude, topless, bikini or swimming costumes (male or female), or imagery, being, but not limited to,

    • a photographic, film, video or other visual representation, whether or not it was made by electronic or mechanical means:
    • is engaged in or is depicted as engaged in explicit sexual activity; or 
    • the dominant characteristic of which is the depiction, for a sexual purpose, of a sexual organ or the anal region of a person,
    • any written material, visual representation or audio recording that advocates or counsels sexual activity with a person.

Any person found to be posting such material will be removed from the site, blocked and banned and details be passed on to the appropriate authorities for investigation if deemed applicable.

Personal and Sensitive Information: Data Protection Principles:

This website, and its subsequent sites, are subject to GDPR regulations, as well as local (Trinidad and Tobago) and international data protection laws. However, Trinidad and Tobago does not have a valid Data Protection legislation and as such reliance can be made to the Constitution of Trinidad and Tobago for such measures.

‘Personal data’ means any information relating to an identifiable person who can be directly or indirectly identified, in particular by reference to an identifier.

This definition provides for a wide range of personal identifiers to constitute personal data, including name, identification number, location data or online identifiers such as within social media platforms.

Users of this site may not distribute other user’s personal or confidential or sensitive information, such as addresses, general geographic location, photographs, phone numbers, or account passwords, without their permission. If this data is already in the public domain then this site, the True Trini Group or PDL-Unisoft cannot be held liable for such disclosure of that information within the site pages.

No data pertaining to personal information about individuals, whether as users of this site, other forums within The True Trini Group websites or otherwise, shall be disclosed within this site,  or within other forums administered by The True Trini Group websites.

In addition to this general principle of non-disclosure, personal data deemed as “sensitive personal data” in accordance with GDPR international data protection laws, rules and principles, (and within the limited national Trinidad and Tobago legislation )  will also apply. Such data may include, but not limited to, genetic, criminal convictions and offences, biometric or health data, as well as personal data revealing racial and ethnic origin.

Disclosure of such data on this site or other forums within The True Trini Group websites will not be tolerated. Disclosure of such data is a criminal offence by various national (Trinidad and Tobago) and international laws of enactment for Data Protection and other suchlike laws.  Any individual, whether acting in a solo capacity or as part of a company, a group, or organisation, that discloses such information within the remit of our services shall immediately be removed from our services and details be passed on to the appropriate authorities for investigation.

We may update this Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Policy on this page.
